Meet Katie
Katie Bray’s work with Central Indiana’s immigrant population is rooted in deep experience and service. Following her return to full-time practice in 2021, she served at Camp Atterbury during Operation Allies Welcome, conducting 700+ consultations for newly arrived Afghans. This work reflects the core mission of her practice: helping those in the most vulnerable positions navigate the legal system with dignity. This experience deeply resonated with Katie, who originally pursued her law degree to advocate for the vulnerable. While in law school, she focused her studies on domestic violence, poverty law, and animal rights—areas that shaped her commitment to service.
Katie later served as the Director of Immigration Legal Services at Catholic Charities Indianapolis for over two years. During her tenure, she identified a significant gap in the community: many individuals earned too much to qualify for non-profit assistance, yet found the high costs of traditional law firms out of reach. This realization became the driving force behind Bray Immigration, a firm dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable legal services for those caught in the middle.
Katie is a graduate of IU McKinney class of 2012. She is admitted to the Indiana Bar and a Member of AILA (American Immigration Lawyer’s Association). She is authorized to practice Immigration Law in all 50 states. When not working, Katie enjoys reading fantasy and sci-fi, playing cozy video games, ice skating, and spending time with her family.
